Saul Isbister is the President and one of the founding members of Touching Base Inc, and has over 30 years experience as a sex worker and rights activist in Australia and NZ. Saul also volunteers as Touching Base's Operations Manager.
Saul helped to initiate a National Roundtable on NDIS & sex services in 2019, and has co-authored articles published in several peer-reviewed publications.
Saul has a Grad. Diploma in Sexual Health, a Diploma in Community Development, and was internationally recognised for his long-standing contribution to community work when he won the UK Sexual Freedom Award – Sex Worker of the Year in 2016.
Katia Schwartz is a Deaf, disabled, and queer advocate whose work is shaped by her lived experience and a deep commitment to inclusion, equity, and the destigmatisation of marginalised communities. With over 18 years in the sex industry, she has worked across a broad range of roles, including escorting, brothels and massage parlours, stripping, and erotic performance.
She is a volunteer with Touching Base, an organisation that connects people with disability to sex workers and promotes access to respectful, affirming services. Katia also serves as National Programs Manager at Scarlet Alliance, the Australian Sex Workers Association, where she leads national initiatives supporting sex workers and their rights.
Across both her professional roles and personal advocacy, Katia focuses on building safer, more accessible pathways at the intersection of disability, sexuality, and sex work.
