Writing Themselves In 5: In Our Words

The Writing Themselves In: In Our Words survey has been running for almost 30 years and the results have been used to shape the policies, services and support that affect LGBTIQA+ young people in Australia. 

If you know any LGBTIQA+ folks aged 14-21, or parents with LGBTIQA+ kids, please spread the word.

Data from this survey will inform government and social policy, advocacy, service provision and new research for our community for the next few years.

Share Your Sexual Health Training Needs

Are you a youth worker, youth health coordinator, service manager, youth health nurse, Aboriginal Health liaison officer, counsellor, case manager... or in any role that involves direct or indirect work with young people aged 12 to 25 years in NSW?

University of Sydney would love to hear from you in an anonymous and confidential survey (5-10mins) as part of a state-wide needs assessment of sexual health training

Their ultimate goal is to improve the sexual health and wellbeing of young people by ensuring that the youth sector receives the training it needs and wants.

If you would like to go into a prize draw for one of ten $50 gift vouchers, or if you would like a summary of the report you can choose to provide a name and email address at the end of the survey.

The survey closes Tuesday 10 March 2026
